Eye Witness 3: Firefighters Carl C. Wellington and John Perry

We obviously did not see the crash, but upon response, we could see the flames and smoke from a couple of miles away. We did the best we could in controlling the blaze and helping survivors. Captain Bauer, whom we didn't know at the time, helped a great deal in filling us in on what had happened and even helping with the rescue effort. There's not much we feel like we can tell you accept that we do remember one man running from the sight. It was quite weird in fact, I mean a lot of people were running from the burning wreckage, but most stop in relief once at a safe distance. This person, probably a middle aged male, did not. He continued to sprint out of sight, never slowing down. Very weird.
