Expert Witness 5: Dr. Scotich Yaskautobaun
Dr. Yaskautobaun believes a similar theory to Dr. von Hanrahausen. He believes an aspect of the hydrogen theory like von Hanrahausen, but claims that one of the many bracing wires within the airship snapped and punctured at least one of the internal gas cells. Dr. Yaskautobaun believe that the hydrogen began to leak approximately five minutes before the fire due to the snapped bracing wire. Dr. Yaskautobaun said, "gauges found in the wreckage showed the tension of the wires was much too high, and some of the bracing wires may have even been substandard." Dr. Yaskautobaun reported seeing a piece of the airship fluttering, perhaps providing an opening for a spark to reach escaping hydrogen inside the airship, or vice versa.
